Yes,Sam Dunn is back with Scot Mcfadyen — the makers of the acclaimed documentary “Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey” — with a new documentary called "Global Metal".


"Global Metal" is the follow-up film to "Metal: A Headbanger's Journey" which explored metal's impact and controversy over the past 35 years and featured interviews with Tony Iommi, Bruce Dickinson, Alice Cooper, Ronnie James Dio, SLAYER, Dee Snider, ARCH ENEMY, LAMB OF GOD, CANNIBAL CORPSE, EMPEROR and many more. The two-disc DVD set was released in North America in May and includes extended interviews, an interactive metal history chart, and a mini-doc on Norwegian black metal.

The basic idea of Global metal is to study the impact of Metal on world's culture beyond Europe and North America.The metal fan and an anthropologist traveled through Asia,North America and middle east exploring lower side of world's extreme music scene — From Indian Death metal to Chinese Black Metal to Israeli Progressive Metal to Iranian Thrash Metal. “Global Metal” reveals a worldwide community of metalheads who aren’t just absorbing metal from the West — they’re transforming it, creating a new form of cultural expression in societies dominated by conflict, corruption and mass consumption.

“Global Metal” is expected to hit theaters later this spring. :| ( so damn late! )
